About Us
Our Philosophy
What is a habit?
It is an unconscious action that is created from doing that action repeatedly. This means that the action goes from something conscious to unconscious allowing you to do it quicker and more fluidly. If you can create habits in your game then you will perform better.
We are fully inclusive and want to help out everyone of all abilities, girls and boys, as we believe everyone deserves the chance to progress!
What sets us apart from other programmes is that we are on the same journey as you. This means we can relate to the problems that you may have because we have probably faced them ourselves. Unlike other programmes we understand how to train your mental side with activities that give you tangible progress. In our Club H2P programme this is where you will see the most progress mentally.
Tom's story
From South London, Streatham, I’ve grown up playing football all my life. I’ve played for professional academies in England including AFC Wimbledon, Colchester, Wycombe, and Brentford. I’ve played semi-professionally both in Spain and England since I was 16. I am still trying to make the step up to the Professional level.
I was in the AFC Wimbledon academy for 7 years from 8 to 15 years old where I honed my technical skill and understanding of the game. When I was released due to an ongoing knee injury and lack of physical development, it motivated me to try and prove them wrong.
I want to use the experiences that I’ve had in my footballing journey so far to help others so they don’t make the same mistakes as me and so they can reach, and stay at, a professional level. Another driving factor behind me starting this was the number of players I saw and still see doing the wrong kind of training and gym work. With our training and mentorship, we can help you achieve your goals.
At 15/16 I was very poor physically which is when I realised I had to start improving that side of my game, I’ve put hours of research and work into trying to make myself the best I can be physically. Learning all about the gym and ways to increase my performance on the pitch through a focus on power, speed and endurance has helped me to develop programmes to progress.
Olly's story
Growing up and starting to play football in South London I was scouted for AFC Wimbledon at the age of 6. I attended AFC Wimbledon for 10 years until the age of 16 where I decided to pursue my education and turn down a scholarship. I managed to get a scholarship to a top sixth form where I could both play a high standard of football whilst giving myself the best chance of getting top qualifications post GCSE.
Football is a brutal business. Spending so much time in high-pressure environments at professional trials and before important games , have helped me to learn to cope with pressure and be more resilient. They are important skills and highlight that football is not just about you do on the pitch. We believe the mental side of the game is often under estimated because without being good off the pitch you can’t perform on it.
Whilst playing for the sixth form who partnered with a non-league under-18s side there was significant interest from professional clubs such as Tottenham, Stoke, Brighton and Chelsea. Unfortunately, this interest did not lead to a contract but these setbacks taught me a lot about myself and gave me the self-belief to bounce back.
Over the summer I completed preseason with Millwall u23s whilst also spending the early parts of the season playing for Bournemouth's u21s. I am currently playing semi-professional football still trying to pursue a career in the game. We created this platform to pass on the skills and techniques we have learned on our careers so far to footballers who want to progress.
